    ( The Complete )
    SERENITY PRAYER

    God grant me the SERENITY
    to accept the things I cannot change;
    COURAGE to change the things I can;
    And WISDOM to know the difference--

    Living one day at a time;
    Enjoying one moment at a time;
    Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
    Taking, as He did, this sinful world
    as it is, not as I would have it;
    Trusting that He will make all things
    right if I surrender to His Will;
    That I may be reasonably happy in this life and
    supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.

    Skye;

    Thank you so much for the post. I never knew that there was more to the serenity prayer than what we say at meetings. I think I would have to agree with duckling. It would be a great thing for us to use the whole serenity prayer as it is very fitting to alcoholic/addicts in recovery. Again Thank you so much.

    Amen. I'm offering this prayer to my daughter who is struggling with addiction. She's currently staying with my mom in Tennessee. I'm praying that alcohol abuse rehab programs will respond to her well. I love my daughter, please pray for her recovery.
